Recommended Heat Treatment
- Coat blade in anti-scale compound or seal in stainless steel tool wrap
- Austenitise at 1050°C, hold for 5 minutes
- Oil quench — reach 600°C within 1–2 minutes, room temperature within 30 minutes
- Cryo treat immediately — liquid nitrogen, dry ice slurry, or freezer for 1+ hour
- Allow blade to return to room temperature in ambient air
- Temper at 150–200°C for 2 hours, twice
