I bought a length of Magnamax steel after asking Tim what the best steel would be for edge retention. From everything I've read about it, it will be just what I need.
I'll be contacting him again to arrange for heat treating, my little gas forge just isn't capable of holding at the correct temperature for as long as it needs.
I hope he gets more of the Magnamax steel in stock soon, If my knives turn out as good as I hope they will I'll be needing it.
