Ready to mix and etch your damascus steel and hamons!

Features:

Step 1: 

For 300g Add 1L of clean distilled water (Preferably) into a HDPE or other acid proof container and mix until the powder is fully dissolved.

For 1kg add 3.3L of clean distilled water (Preferably) into a HDPE or other acid proof container and mix until the powder is fully dissolved.

*Note* Add the powder into the water to reduce the reaction.

Step 2 (Strong Solution):

For a strong and fast etching solution mix 3:1 Water to ferric (3L water – 1L Ferric solution)

This is for a fast etching and highly aggressive etch. Primarily used to quickly test etch Damascus Steel or etch blades for stone washing where the quality and consistency of the etch is less important.

Step 2 (Slow/Gentle Solution):

For a gentle solution mix 4-6:1 Water to ferric (4-6L water – 1L Ferric solution).

This solution is to create a slow gentle etch that creates a smoother more reliable etch. The slower the etch the less blotches and wispy lines you'll create. Perfect if you are etching Damascus before coffee.
