This material is made from layers of fine linen and colored epoxy resin. Unlike phenolic resins, this composition offers greater color stability over time. Micarta refers to a type of composite made by pressing linen, canvas, paper, fiberglass, or other fibrous materials together with phenolic resins under high heat, resulting in a strong and durable material.

Product is exactly what I wanted. Auspost can be a bit frustrating as it sat in the distribution centre for a few days, nothing to do with Aus Makers Supplies.
Very pleasantly surprised upon opening the package to see a little smiley card and some lollies.
My partner and grandson quickly took care of the lollies but I am keeping the card to show friends what an excellent supplier Makers is.
Just on the subject of packaging, my little parcel was so well wrapped that it would have survived any method of transport over any type of terrain.

I have not yet received my order, but…. Rhe staff at Aus Supply have been MORE than helpful. My order met with some difficulties during export, it was quickly taken care of BEFORE I was able to ask about the status of my order. These were an experiment for me as I rarely go past 600 grit. Gotta say I've been impressed with these. They perform well with steel provided you take your time with progression and actively manage the heat. I also had a bit of a play using these with hardwoods. The finish on a slack belt was great but I reckon they'd glaze up too quickly with wood to be practical. All around great belts though, even if Idon'tsee them being part of my progression going forward.
