  • Versatile Use: Ideal for use as forge doors, in the construction of brick forges, or as a surface for silver soldering small jobs.

Brick Specifications:

  • Dimensions: Each K26 refractory soft brick measures approximately 75 x 115 x 230 mm.
  • Working Temperature: Capable of withstanding temperatures up to 1420°C.

Benefits:

  • Reliable Performance: Perfect for lining forges, kilns, and other high-temperature furnaces, providing a stable and robust foundation.
  • Energy Efficiency: Low thermal conductivity means less energy is required to maintain high temperatures, resulting in cost savings and improved efficiency.
  • Easy Installation: The uniform size and shape of the TRJM26 - K26 Refractory Brick make installation straightforward, allowing for quick and efficient construction or repairs.

Usage and Maintenance Tips:

  • Handling Moisture: K26 bricks can crack if moisture inside them expands rapidly during heating. To reduce this risk, heat the bricks slowly to allow moisture to evaporate before it boils. Some cracking is inevitable, but cracked bricks can still function effectively and can be patched with refractory mortar.
  • Initial Heating: When using a gas burner, run it at low pressure with the air inlet mostly closed for about 5 minutes before increasing the pressure or opening the air inlet. This is especially important the first time you use the burner with the bricks or after damp weather. If you see steam rising from the bricks, lower the heat until the steaming stops.
