Every knifemaker’s forge needs a reliable, fast and repeatable hardening process, and the Pruciak Quencher is built to deliver exactly that. Instead of fumbling with individual blades, you load your blanks into the basket, heat them together and quench them in one controlled movement. The result is a more consistent process and a smoother workflow at the forge.

The basket is made from 3 mm 304 stainless steel in a modular design, giving it the rigidity to cope with extreme temperatures and the durability to last through years of regular use. It comes apart into three elements and goes back together without any tools, so setup and cleanup are quick and simple.

A gripper is included in the set, allowing you to safely insert the basket into the furnace and remove it again. It also lets you quench with confidence, as the basket stays secure even when held nearly vertical. No extra tools needed, and no compromises.
